Long ago I believed the only way to make “real money” was to have a traditional job — which is how I ended up with a background in biology as I pursued a medical degree.
But my heart wasn’t truly in healthcare. Instead, I longed for a career in the arts and to experience the joy of being creative for a living—but not without making a living! I wanted to know how generating income as a creative professional could be fun, freeing and more importantly, POSSIBLE (no more “starving artist” story for me)!
One day I observed a friend picking stocks, and I thought to myself, “How come I never learned how to do THAT?!” (I felt FOMO, even though it wasn’t a “word” back then!) I was motivated to improve my financial literacy, so much so that I pursued a second career as a financial advisor and became a Certified Money Coach® (CMC).
Once I combined my artistic passions with financial know-how, I wanted other creative professionals to feel as empowered with their money as I did. I could empathize with the unique challenges that artists and creatives face when it comes to their money mindset while helping them improve their financial management and wealth creation.
